If you are looking to get into email marketing then you will need to verify your sending domain name. Spam filters will insist that this is in place in order to send emails via any email-sending software.
It is very easy to do though, just log into the control panel for your domain name and create an SPF, DKIM and DMARC record. You just cut and paste one line of text for each, which we provide in our handy PDF guide:
Take a moment to confirm your domain name by adding the following information to your organisation’s DNS server. Failure to complete this verification process may result in email rejections by inbox providers.
What do I need to do?
Verification is done by adding: SPF, DKIM & DMARC records to your organisation’s DNS server.
SPF: Create a TXT record with the name yoursite.co.uk and value:
KIM: Create a CNAME record with the name eb._domainkey and value:
DMARC: Create a TXT record with the name _dmarc.yoursite.co.uk and value:*
- This DMARC record is necessary only if your domain does not already have a valid record published.
Remember to replace all instances of ‘yoursite.co.uk’ with your actual domain name.
