Unplanned downtime 10th April

Published on

We would like to apologise for unplanned downtime yesterday (10th April 2011).

Yesterday a power strip failed on our server rack. This was promptly replaced and all servers came online –  apart from our main web server. Due to the power issue, it turned out that our main web server had failed.

As a result our engineers spent most of the day and night yesterday rebuilding the main web server to resume service.

The main server has now been re-built and service has been resumed as normal. Thankfully our engineers can now go home and get some sleep!

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this outage.
